Safer at Home - Weekend 14 (June 21)

This was another weekend that was a bit lean on the hobby work.  I was busy working on some other projects and perhaps needed a short break.  My Nighthaunt are almost compete - just a handful of models to paint.  I'm now looking at the elephant in the room: my Dark Angel space marines.
I've been collecting Dark Angels since Rogue Trader days and have more than a full battle company of marines, about a third of the Deathwing and a reasonable Ravenwing element.  The announcement of 9th Edition and new fast bike units means that I need to get all of this painted if I'm going to get any of the new models.

I took some time this weekend to gather all of the models that I had primed over the years and put them in one set of trays (along with the models for my current lists) to make it easier to get them out for painting.

This weekend I started on some initial prep work on the 2nd tray.  Some of the marines had been primed black so I painted their armor Caliban Green.  I painted the helmet lenses on the 70 marines that had already been primed green.  I also painted the bodysuit of the Imperial assassin.  It is, at least, a start.  I have roughly 370 space marine models so there is a lot of work ahead of me.
